Being the largest insurance firm in the country, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) contains probably a large workforce and keeps releasing vacancies for various posts almost every year.A large number of candidates apply for these vacancies according to their qualifications. It is a very lucrative and one of the best entry-level jobs for those seeking job in the insurance sector. LIC ADO exam is conducted across the nation at various designated centres.

Exam Notification

LIC releases its official notification for the post of ADO almost every year. LIC releases its vacancies to recruit the eligible candidates for the post of ADO (Apprentice Development Officer). The notification contains all related information viz- vacancies, syllabus and exam pattern. There may not be changes in the exam pattern which includes the sectional timings/sectional cut-offs etc. Thus, it is always beneficial to read over the official notification properly.

Interview Process

Marks obtained in the Main Examination only will be considered for shortlisting for interview and marks obtained in Main Examination + marks obtained in Interview will be considered for final merit listing of candidates. Maximum Interview marks are 37.

LIC ADO Qualification

Educational Qualification

  1. For Employees category and Agents category: Bachelor’s degree of a university in India established under a statute or a foreign university approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.
  2. For Other Category: Bachelor’s degree of a university in India established under a statute or a foreign university approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.
  • Preference may be given to those applicants who possess Masters Degree in Business Administration in Marketing or Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing from a University in India established under Statute or by an Institute approved by All India Council for Technical Education or a recognized Institution.

Note: Recognized Institution means such Institution as may be recognized by any State Government or the Central Government.

Age limit: The minimum age limit is 21 years and maximum 30 years.
