SBI CLERK 2020 Exam Highlights

State Bank of India is the leading bank of India and it is a dream of many candidates to be a part of this prestigious institution. SBI conducts SBI Clerk/Junior Associates Exam every year to recruit candidates on the clerical position in the State Bank of India. As per SBI Clerk Recruitment Notification 2020, SBI is all set to recruit 8000+ candidates as a clerk. SBI Online Registration will start from 3 January 2020 and will conclude on 26 January 2020. Prelims exam will be conducted in February-March 2020 and the main exam will be held on April 19, 2020.The candidates are required to clear the preliminary exam to go to the main exam.

Exam Pattern

The selection process will consist of on-linetest (preliminary & main exam) and test of specified opted local language.

Phase-I

Preliminary Examination

Online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test wouldbe of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

  • There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual test OR for aggregate score.
  • Adequate number of candidates in each category as decided by the Bank

(approximately 10 times the numbers of vacancies  subject to availability)will be shortlisted for the Main Exam from the list of all candidates arranged in descending order of aggregate marks scored.

  • The questions in objective tests, except for the test of General English, will be bilingual i.e., English & Hindi.
  • There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS candidates, 5% relaxation available
  • thereon).
  • Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be decided by the bank. No minimum qualifying marks for individual subject are prescribed.
  • Merit list will be drawn State wise, category wise. Candidates qualified in
  • the test (main examination) will be placed according to their aggregate
  • marks in descending order in respective States and Categories.

SBI CLERK 2020 Qualification

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a government of India recognized university or an equivalent degree which is having recognition by the Central Government. Candidates must provide relevant certificates at their time of selection.

Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected,they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 01.01.2020.

Age Criteria

The candidate must have a minimum age of 20 years, while the maximum age limit is set to 28 years as on January 1, 2020. There is relaxation provided for this criterion to candidates belonging to the particular category. There is a relaxation of five years provided for reservation (SC/ST) candidates.
