SSC MTS Exam Highlights
Before preparation of SSC Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) exam it is necessary to know about exam pattern and syllabus.In this section, we will discuss about the latest exam pattern and detailed syllabus of SSC MTS.
Exam Notification
The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts a common recruitment test for the post of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) every year. It gives a golden chance to all the job aspirants who wish to make a career in the government sector. Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) is a general central service Group ‘C’ non-gazetted, non-ministerial post. Notification contains all the relevant information regarding this exam like, eligibility criteria, age limit, nationality etc.
Exam Pattern
SSC conducts SSC MTS exam every year in two different stages:
- Paper 1
- Descriptive Test
Paper 1
It is an online paper with multiple choice questions (MCQ s0 in four different sections of Reasoning, English Language, Numerical Aptitude and General Awareness. The entire paper is of total 100 marks and contains 100 questions and needs to be completed in a time span of 90 minutes.

There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
The questions will be set both in English & Hindi medium.
The timing for Visually handicapped cerebral palsy candidates is 120 Mins.
Paper-II
Paper-II of SSC MTS exam will be a descriptive nature in which candidate has to write short essay or Letter in English or any other language mentioned under the 8th Schedule of the Constitution.

Timing for visually handicapped cerebral palsy candidates is 45 Minutes.
This exam is qualifying in nature.
It is intended to test the elementary language skills of the candidates to be suitable for the post.
SSC MTS Qualification
Educational Qualification
Candidates with minimum 10th passed from a recognized university or board will be eligible.
Candidate must be a citizen of India or belong to Bhutan or Nepal.
SSC MTS Age Criteria
According to the official SSC MTS recruitment notification, the age limits for the posts of various user departments are:
18-25 years and 18-27 years.

General Awareness and General Knowledge section is high scoring sections of SSC CGL Exam.
