Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) invites applications for recruitment of the posts of stenographer. The eligible candidates can apply for these posts. STENOGRAPHER Exam Notification

UPSSSC releases Official Notification for recruitment of the posts of stenographer from eligible candidates who must be citizens of India. Notification of UPSSSC Stenographer exam contains all the relevant information regarding exam, eligibility criteria, age limit, nationality etc

STENOGRAPHER Exam Pattern

Selection Process for UPSSSC Stenographer will consists of Total 100 Marks. Marks Distribution will be as follows-

Note : Typist/Stenography Test will be of qualifying Nature.

Written Exam

  • The written test will be multiple choice objective type question.
  • Time duration for written test will be 01:00 hours (60 minutes).
  • There will also be a typing test of qualifying nature after written test.
  • There shall be no negative marking.

STENOGRAPHER Qualification

Educational Qualification

  1. Secondary Education Council of UP Intermediate examination or an examination recognized by the Government to be equivalent.
  2. Bachelors degree from a recognized university or equivalent qualification.
  3. Must possess a minimum speed of 80 Words per minute in Hindi Shorthand and 25 Words per minute in Hindi Typing respectively.
  4. CCC certificate in computer operation awarded by the DOEACC Society or must possess a computer course awarded by Board of High School and Intermediate Education Uttar Pradesh or a computer course recognized by the Government as equivalent thereto.

Preferential Qualification

Other things being equal a candidate shall be given preference if (1) Served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of two years or (2) Obtained B certificate of National Cadet Corps.

Age Limit

Age Limit for the above mentioned posts is 18 – 40 years as on cut-off date.

Age Relaxation

Relaxation in Upper Age Limit will be applicable for Reserved Category applicants according to Uttar Pradesh Government Rules.

STENOGRAPHER Cut-Off 2019 (Expected)

General/ UR Category : 31.50 Marks

OBC Category : 31.50 Marks

SC Category : 31.50 Marks

ST Category : 16 Marks

Freedom Fighters : 25.00 Marks

Ex-Serviceman : 20.00 Marks

PwD Category : 30.00 Marks

Female Category : 32.50 Marks

  • It is well known that steno Exam cut Off Marks will totally depends on Marks in Written Test, Typing Test & Interview i.e. 100 Marks. Written Exam was of 40 Marks.
  • UPSSSC stenographer Written Exam is very important as final merit will be based on Marks in Written Exam.
